Bariatric wheels are stronger and will take more abuse than the standard wheel chair wheel. The MOtive will increase the speed and weight of your wheelchair possibly exceeding the limits of the standard wheel. Installing bariatric wheels on your MOtive will increase the durability of your chair.

If you will spend the majority of your time driving on sidewalks, paved surfaces, and occasionally venturing onto gravel paths or firm grassy ground, we recommend the bariatric wheel with a black, road tire. The black, road tire has better traction with the drive wheel in wet conditions. Although, it does not provide as much floatation as the Off-Road tire.
